    Replacement Touchscreen installed, and LCD mounted to ByByte Frame:

    Now to find out how to mount the buttons so the IR receiver still works within reason. The pre-made hole for the IR is covered by the screen so I need to figure out if it will still work somehow. Need a new button battery though for the 'mote though.

    I wonder if I'm going to need a double-din kit in my car to fill up any gap there might be between my bezel and the LCD frame?

    Most likely yes.

    @RyanB95

    Are those screws actually connected to the LCD from the board? Or are they acting as standoffs?

    What I am getting at is: How exactly did you connect the LCD and board. Yours monitor is different than mine, I am just curious.

    There are 3 tabs with screw holes in them and 3 silver screws in the baggy that came with the frame. My board lined up almost perfectly with the 3 holes in the tabs, and the board is screwed directly into the tabs.

    The LCD is held on purely by the double-sided foam tape. There are tabs on the side with foam tape on them also. I bent those down over the LCD to give it extra support.

    If I didn't answer your question enough then I'm not quite sure what you're asking. Perhaps more pictures would help?

    You answered my question. Thanks.

    My LCD and board are different and the holes didn't line up. But I managed to get it in there OK...

    i bent those tabs down to hold my screen in place just from the back so if i ever need to pull it out, i can without shattering the screen. its just sitting in my box of carputer parts, so its not really testing out the durability of that method sitting in a box. ill let everyone know how it goes once i get all my interior peices to install it.

    I emailed the support for ByByte about how to mount the 701 to the frame about a week or two ago and still haven't heard anything from them :-S

    I drilled/tapped mine out for a Commell LS-372 and a DSX12VD and it worked great:
