    VGA out black until windows starts

    I am using a Sony Vaio laptop with intel GMA 950 graphics. The problem is the video output only seems to display anything after windows loads. I can never see any boot screens or anything. I don't see any settings in the bios to enable vga out on boot.
    Any ideas?

    your laptop might have a weird resolution for its bios POST time that the screen cant display...

    or

    the video out is only activated once the drivers load in windows

    I think it is the second one. There has to be a way to get it to work.
