Extending high voltage wires to CCFL

I want to extend (with 2 inch) my high voltage wires that are running to my ccfl.

I want to use high voltage wires with the same thinkness and solder it..
But my question is... will the ccfl still work when I extend the wires with 2 inches?

I heard some story's that the ccfl wires have a specific resistance or something??

    Thanks..

There is no need to worry about it. That's nothing.
Yes, it can be the part of the so called 'resonant tank', but the plus resistance and more important the plus capacitance is not significant. It makes the efficacy a little bit wronger....

But at the site of soldering use thick isolation - separate them from each other, and from ground, respectively.

I extended the wires to my ccfl by about 5 -6 inches and didn't have any issues at all. I used a thicker gauge wire than the stock as well as heat-shrink tubing to insulate the solder joints. I did this b/c i had to re-locate the LCD controller board horizontally instead of vertical with the LCD due to clearence reasons. Been running like that for over a year now.
