I'm wondering the same thing. I was looking at the 702tsv, but the DVI input would be nice, as i have a mac mini, and long DVI cable at work (free). Would the 1000nit be THAT much brighter than this?
Anyone notice this puppy on xenarc's website recently?!?

Interesting external box for hooking up all the extra inputs to.
Seems to have a fairly decent brightness at 650cd/m.
On another note, I currently have the Xenarc 700TSV from 2006/2007 and was considering an upgrade because of sunlight issues. Would the lilliput 629 LED be a better bet than the new xenarc 702TSV LCD?

Why? I can see how it would help me, as I won't have anything behind the screen except this box. I guess if you were installing your computer in dash, this is just something else taking up room.
it would make sense if you have you car pc in your trunk that way you only need one cable. at the same time, the cable is pretty short..
I've got one of these puppies. Have not got it in the car yet. Plenty bright enough. Ordered because there was stock available for this one (650 NIT) and none of the 1000 NIT ones. Seems very well made.
The only problem I noticed is that the retaining nuts (with female thread) for the monitor cable on the controller box are the wrong thread size for the cable screws, yet the monitor end is fine. I have to take up with supplier.
With the monitor out of the case, it will fit in a dual DIN dash perfectly but you will have to work out how to relocate the buttons...
Does it mean this could be the first one with proper EDID?
Sorry what is EDID?
anybody else have it, willing to review it?
