    Double Din headunit, vga in, USB touchscreen

    Here is something interesting i have found. I called up one of these places and asked about it to confirm my thoughts as well. This is a Chinese brand they these places cells. It is a double dim head unit that has a built cd/dvd that is connectible to your carputer, tilt screen, touch screen, usb ports on front and back, VGA inputs, and as told by the person i talked to, the touch screen can use the usb to control your computers pointer (im going to double check this).

    All this and it also functions as a stand alone head unit. And its all for $801.00 sounds fun!

    Im looking into finding a video of this thing in action.

    wow, looks promising. How is the touchscreen overlay? the pic looks to me like its one of those really reflective ones that is hard to see under direct sunlight. Anyone used one of these units? if the touch overlay is non-reflective i may consider getting one of these...

    I guess you two are kind of new in the world of carpc's that 2 DIN unit has been sold for a very long time @ digitalww.com and cartft.com just with two different model nr's

    do a search for DWW-6500 or CID650 and you'll see

    great, thanks mate. Na not new to the world of carpcs but been AWOL for a couple of yrs. Im going to start building my 3rd carpc for my Nissan S15 soon. My 1st carpc was in 1999 running DOS 6.22 with a parallel port connected 2 x 20 character front lit LCD screen carputers have come a long way since then looking forward to catching up on all the new toys we can use!

    Motionman, read Hype's reply. The same unit you linked is sold under different model names. Search the forum for those model names and you will get heaps of info on them!

    Then you didnt search very well. You could just go to the websites he even mentioned with their cooresponding parts names and read the info there...

    when is says "Touch Screen (USB)" does that means that the touch screen controls the mouse through a usb cord?

    Means the touchscreen connects to the computer via USB.
