So, how does this new xenarcs screen quality look in the dark with this brighter backlight? Is the contrast ratio decent in your opinion? Again, the original Xenarc at 180 nits - the blacks were bright greys. Nasty...
I looked at the pictures, and it's lookin' good.. Though you never can be too sure with the wacky exposures on most digital cameras.

Hey Armen,
Kind of an irrelevent post, but when you posted your install pics, i noticed that both screens had a horizontal line of distortion at the top edge of the screen. My screen, too, does this. Is this a factor of having it hooked up to a DVD player?
Also, I was wondering if the "ps2" type connectors for these screens was availabloe seperately. The piece that converts PS2 to power and video. Please let me know,
Thanks!
I've seen it on a few monitors but I don't think that it is because of the DVD. Try sliding it (LCD panel) up a little so that it hides behind the frame.
As far as the wire, I can see if I have an extra one laying around.

Since Armen listed the res's that it can do, I am wondering if it will support custom resolutions.
Bearing in mind that the previous one (which seems almost like a model to test in the field now!) had issues with the resolution given to it.
Also that this model is clever enough to stretch the res, is it clever enough NOT to stretch it as well?
Dave
How can I test this? Also when it stretches the screen you can barely notice it and you get used to it quickly.

Xenarc is just a distributor that is well known. The touch screen is a factory option on these monitors.

Cool, thanks.
I would actually need quite a few of them. About 4?
1 is deffinately better than none though.
Please let me know.
Thanks!
Also, I plan on buying your 7" touchscreen in a few months... i have a few other things on my list first... Window tint, a few performance mods, drop the car, some misc. mp3Car accessories, etc.

If you don't have this stuff, have any idea where i can pick it up?
Thanks, once again!

At a guess, the same way that the previous model's had to be used, by setting powerstrip to output some funny widescreen res.
As for getting used to it, I feel that the whole wow factor of the first version was the widescreen feature. Ive used a libretto for a long while (800x480) and it is really useable. To be able to do say 1024x600 or even 1280x768 would be truely wonderful!!
For $500 I'd really want it to do widescreen
