Xenarc 7inch power question (I did my research)

I have a simple question, I am setting up my e46 with a carputer and want to use the radio 12v constant pwr wire to power my Xenarc screen. I have read that the Xenarc has a regulator so isn't a problem to not have a constant clean 12v.

Here is the thing i do not want to use a relay trigger because I do not want my Xenarc screen to ever loose the 12v power mainly cause i like to use the usb mouse wake from suspend option by touching my screen. If my Xenarc looses power so does the touchscreen and USB wake from standby.

So would this cause a problem to my car battery (battery drain) or does Xenarc draw very little power when my carputer is in standby and screen is power-off that I be safe to do this?

When the Xenarc goes to standby, the touchscreen loses power. You can't use that to wake the PC. If you were to leave the screen always on, it would draw too much current (about 1A).
