    If they are increasing the brightness more than double, I think another appropriate question is if there is enough LCD contrast to keep the display from looking washed out from the extra brightness?

    Here is some info i acquired on the backlight. I don't know if this means it is a weak backlight or if the inverter is not supplying the power it is capable of handling. Someone want to test the inverter's output current?

    This is an old thread. The Xenarc comes standard now with a brightness enhancement upgrade.
