    4:3 vs 16:9

I cant help for the life of me figure out what I lose by going 4:3 rather than 16:9 other than widescreen movies will be cropped out a bit but does it affect anything else?

I think I might go with that shark monitor that goes for 199 on gooddeals.com. My issue was its 4:3 but after searches I dont really see what ill be missing other than the above mentioned.

What did you end up doing. You have an f150 right? Are you doing any modification to the bezel?

Edit: I just realized how old this thread is.....damn

The widescreen movies won't be cropped...it'll we resized smaller to fit the width of your screen...
So basically, your movie will be smaller visually...unless you set your DVD drive to run it pan/scan style, in which case the left/right sides of the movie will be missing

I have an 8" WS Lili, and it was still narrower than my 1.5 DIN opening...
But there was NO way a 4:3 was going to work.
