Alright i think i figured it out, so nevermind...heh heh heh
Ok, I could just be retarded, which is probably the case, but my lilliput 7" just stopped working. I was testing powering it with my m2-atx, and it was going fine, it worked for like an hour and i decided to check out how the videos would play. I accidentally pressed the auto adjust button and then i started playing with it, i pressed it a few more times. Now the picture was not adjusted right so that roadrunner return button was not visible. So then i decided to press menu and manually adjust the picture. Then it flashed or something and now the menu button and all the other buttons besides, the video mode and power button dont work. Also it says out of range and will not display the computer signal. I cant figure out how to get it back in range when the menu button and the auto adjust buttons are not working. Any ideas?
I searched around the forum for an hour but couldnt find any info on a problem similar enough to mine.

Did u use the reset feature in the menu of the screen?
New Car PC Build list in progress
Well i couldnt bring up the menu cause it wouldnt register the vga input. Then I read a guy used his digital camera to bring up the video input menu then dialed in the code to reset to default. I did all that and it still didnt work, then i restarted the comp and it resolved itself. I felt like a retard after i did the reset like 10 times and it didnt fix the problem. Then it dawned on me to restart the comp and viola! So its all good.
Can you help me out a bit, figfry?
I also used the auto-align button while everything worked fine. Now I can't use 800x600 mode on my Lilliput GL701 because it says Out of Range or just going black. No menu accessible...
How do you reset to default? I even pulled the power for several hours without any result.
If a reset to default works, then the chip is ok.
But many cases the auto-adjust button is an auto-destruct button. It destroys the actual video processing chip (confirmed by lilliput). So you need to run at a different resolution like 640x480 or 1024x768. 800x600 will never ever work again on that monitor if the chip is out. Only way to fix it is a) buy a new monitor or b) replace the video chip which is a surface mount multi-hundred pin chip with tiny tiny leads.

Reset to default did the trick. Thanks for the warning, I am never to touch the auto-adjust button again![]()
you can use the same resolution if you change the refresh rate (at least that's what worked for me). I have hit the auto-adjust/destruct button on my EBY701 twice already, changed the refresh rate each time to get it working again. I'm still using 800x600 now, although I may have to change the resolution next time (I don't think I have any more refresh rates to change it to)
I thought it was the EEPROM chip that gets destroyed when the auto-adjust button is pushed? at least that's what was said in this thread
the chip is a "24c16", it's a surface mount 8-pin EEPROM chip:![]()
