    lilliput 619 car power

    can someone show me a picture of the "egg" everyone is talking about in the adapter plug? also, when people talk about reversing the polarity, are they talking about reversing the ground and power lines? thanks

    And yes, reversing polarity means swapping power & ground. It's a bad idea.

    It's an egg-shaped 12v regulator that's inline with the car power (cig. lighter) adapter.

    It's not a power filter. It's a regulator.
    It accept the variable voltage from teh car's electrical system and outputs a consistent 12v to prevent damage to the LCD.

    WTF is a "power filter" anyway?

    Usually just a coil or transformer with some caps used for smoothing out spikes in the current. they use them in car stereos sometimes.
