    Laptop LCD

I have a LCD out of a Compaq laptop along with the power inverter and I am wondering if anyone knows how it would be possible to wire it so I can use it off of my video card.

check out a mini-itx or a shuttle board.... very small and good enough to use for a standalone mp3 player.

there is one project that a guy put together here that fit into a din (standard size radio) case!!!! cant remeber who, though!

i know this is an MP3 forum but the comptuer i am building isnt for mp3s. it is going to be used for DVD's and CD's along with a monitoring system for my truck. This is the only forum I could find for carputers. I figure I should be able to fit a micro ATX board into the glove box, i may even be able to get a full ATX if I try really hard.

the computer is going to take the place of my headunit

Sounds good, something to think about though.....

CDs have a small music capacity when compared to even smaller Hard Drives.

Ripping your CDs to MP3 format is easy.

You could reduce your CD flipping by having this computer you are already going to put in in place of your head unit play MP3s also.....

It would still play audio CDs too ;-)

    Just a thought.

now what i am about to say is going to probably anger a couple people, first MP3's are ruining my industry, I am an audio engineer and I am a promotions manager for a couple bands. Second I can't stand the sound of MP3's they don't sound as good. Personally if I could listen to vinyl in my truck i would do that instead
