Thread: xenarc/super touch panel problem

just wondering if anyone can help. i have a 7" widescreen touch monitor which is branded 'Super'. i think from a little reading around that it is the same internally as a xenarc monitor.
my problem is that the touch panel has done the usual thing of not calibrating and the pointer being about an inch and a half away from wherever i touch it. i've tried all the heating the edges up and pressing the glue together stuff but it seems to be past repair.
xenarc have offered me a 4 wire replacement touch panel for $45 but they would not specify if it was the same as mine. does anybody know for sure if these panels are all the same?
if it helps the actual screen is slightly offset in the touch panel and the ribbon comes out of the top right hand side of the panel, and there is SY 8710 printed on top right corner of panel.
any help would be much appreciated
