Reason's sunlight readable might get cheap?
Can someone please tell me for the love of God why optically bonded or transreflective lcds are still expensive?
Every 200 dollar complete Garmin I've seen looks great in the sunlight,
not to mention Toshiba has introduced a lightweight laptop that competes with the mac air in being slim and yet has a industry leading transreflective lcd all for 1400 dollars.
if Garmin and other navi hand held units is spitting out these optically bonded touchscreens and now laptops are sporting transreflective screens (which you know will have to be replaced one day so they will be on ebay for 150 bucks, no?)
so why is it expensive to buy a stand alone transreflective or optically bonded touchscreen?
there has to be some source out there.
