In addition to the issues with resolution, most portable DVD screens are probably only around 200 nits or so in brightness. How does it look in the sun?

You mean how did it look. It got baked in the sweet New Mexican sun. It actually looked decent in the sun. But now it's Project: MobileVU. If anyone has any suggestions on how to fit one into the dash of a '93 Toyota Tercel, I'd appreciate it.

Seems like a lot of work, expense, and headaches to get a subpar screen...

Why not just buy a real screen for $150-$200?

Right, now you're down the cost of two DVD screens and for that money, you could have bought a proper one to begin with. If you have the dough, get a new Lili and put it in the Tercel.

Post up pics in the fab forum and ask people where and how to put the screen in.

The DVD screens were given to me. I only bought the touchpanel overlay to put on it. I have a MobileVU I'm trying to fit in the Tercel, but I'm having a hard time. Maybe I'll sell the MobileVU and get a Lili. What about the eby-701? Is it any good? If I could find a good single-DIN 7-9', that would be awesome. I only have about 10' of clearance(W) and 6"(H). I'm not sure on depth.
