Before you do that, hook up your PC to the screen and see if you like the image quality. DVD players are video, not VGA and the text will appear fuzzy.
I have a portable DVD player that was given to me. It's a 7" widescreen LCD. I was going to get an EEEPC touchscreen panel like this. I need to get a VGA to RCA adapter/converter for me to use it. Any recommendations?

I don't have the converter to hook up my computer to the screen. But, I hooked up my PS2 to it, and I'm pretty satisfied with game quality and text quality. So, what do you think?

I think your PS2 is designed to connect to a video screen. VGA and video are different. VGA is much higher resolution. As you would expect, connecting a high resolution output to a low resolution display such as a video screen results in smaller items being difficult to see.
Of course it can work, just trying to set your expectations. There's a thread on this in the FAQ section with pics. Search on "VGA vs. Video" or something like that.

I ordered my VGA to RCA converter/scaler today. It should be in in about 2 weeks. I'll test it before I order the touchpanel.

Arg!! After over 7 hours of playing with different drivers and trying to figure out why my touch screen isn't working -- it makes sense!!! The a-holes cut off touch panels and didn't give me them!!!! Well 2 LCD's "TOUCH PANELS" ... and Carputer for $180. It's supposed to be $200 but if he doesn't include the damn touch panels I am definately not giving him the other $20, as if it's much, but it can buy half a touch panel lol. Hopefully tomorrow hell have em, he did call me once i left. Another screen is missing the round connector too so i'm going to need to ghetto wire it![]()
Where or Who were they purchased from?
I plan on getting mine from DealExtreme since no one here as any up for sale and I can't find any on eBay for a decent price.
At least DealExtreme is good on returns and exchanges.

Well, I got the scaler/converter and the quality is pretty good. I've had better, but I'm not gonna complain. I ordered the touchscreen for it and I am waiting for it to come in.

I got a new touchpanel in and got it put onto the screen I had, but I pulled a dumb@$$ and left the d@mn thing in the sun and killed the LCD screen and melted the panel. Looks like I need to make my MobileVu fit into the Tercel....
