    Punctuation, man. What are the dimensions of your opening? Get a tape and measure it....see the lip going around the opening in the picture you posted? Go from the outside of that on one corner to the outside of the other, this is the maximum size your screen bezel can be. I can tell you from there if it'll fit.

    I'll measure it up tonight and try to remember to post it amongst my Ubuntu maintenance and drunken partying.

    Okay, didn't forget about you! I went and measured it, it's 7.5 inches corner to corner.
    So to get your diagonal measurements it would be a2 + b2 = c2. So
    (7 3/8 * 7 3/8) + (3 7/8 * 3 7/8) = c2
    59/8 * 59/8 + 31/8 * 31/8 = c2
    3481/64 + 961/64 = c2
    4442/64 = c2
    69.40625 = c2
    8.33104..... = c

    So your DIN is more than 8 inches diagonal, you will definitely be able to get a 7 inch screen in there, I'd recommend an 8 inch for you. You can even go into the mp3car.com store and get the measurements of the screens....width, height and diagonal. Or if you want the measurement of a more specific part of them, they're all over this board. People have measured and taken pictures of every part.
