There's a reason they cost so little. Build quality is marginal at best.
These units aren't new. I believe the common nomenclature is the DWW-700. I could be wrong, though.
Does anyone here know anything about this monitor? I currently have a Lilliput mounted on the console of my Expedition, but want to upgrade to an in dash motorized monitor. Has anyone here had any experience or knowledge of this? The are on E-bay for less than $300.00
Thanks for the additional info. I thought it might be too good to be true. Can you or anyone else suggest a quality single din unit? All I really need is a monitor, as I already have a quality Pioneer head unit/DVD player. I've been googling my fingers off for some time now, and can't really find what I'm looking for. So far the closest thing I've found is the latest Zenarc unit, but I really don't want to spend $700.00, especially since I don't need anything other than a monitor, plus, I've seen some poor reviews of that device. Any help you can offer will be most appreciated.
The new xenarc motorized single din does not appear to be a very good unit, too many bugs. I would have to say the k301 (or equivalent models) would be the best quality single din you can get. It has metal gears and mine has been rock solid so far. I think the motorized monitor in your link uses plastic gears.
Thanks! Do you have any idea where I could purchase one?
Nope, sorry it seems like alot of places dont carry this anymore. I bought mine from autonode. It goes under a variety of names, such as k301, mtsvo, and others.
Rats, that stinks. Looks my only option is to get one of the cheap ones and hope it doesn't break too quickly.
Re: AutoPC TS700 Motorized Touchscreen
Actually, I had one in my car for 3 years and never had a problem with it. It is a bit noisy when it opens and closes, but other than that served me well.
It will not survive a 55 MPH into a semi though The screen was open at the time and it popped out of the tracks, and broke the gears.
