im going on about 13 months now on my EBY701. accidentally using the "auto adjust" button fried out the 800x600 @ 60Hz resolution. the EBY701 isnt the best of choices since it burns out a resolution under normal operation. so far the screen hardware, and touchscreen still work.

Yea Ive heard about that bug. What exactly does it mean when you "fry" it? Does that mean you can no longer use the resolution that you "fried" it at? I havent installed my eby701 yet, but Ill be sure to keep away from the auto adjust.

yes, it completely burns out any use of it at 800x600 @ 60Hz. from what ive read, its a chip. doesnt sound right to me. maybe a function or a gate in the chip. and, nand, o,r nor, n such gates in the chips structure.

Just another opinion on lifespan and some information i have gotten from customers...

The older Xenarcs seem to fare really well. mp3car had a Xenarc 700 TSV, the non-LED that lasted well over two years, before having problems. Many customers have had the 619s for well over three years. And lot of customers have been choosing Lilliput over Xenarc these days, because they think that they will last longer. We definitely have fewer RMAs from Lilliputs.

I'm using a Xenarc 701 TSV that's nearly two years.
I have too much time and too little aggravation in my life, so I built a carPC. ;)
