Issues with my Liliput: random screen shifts, off/on, etc

    Hi All,
I've been having issues with my transflective Liliput for the past several months now, haven't had a lot of time to really dig into it, and am hoping someone knows about this and/or can steer me in the right direction.

Issues: At times, after coming out of hibernation (my usual shutdown), the screen comes back and the desktop is shifted completely out of whack. the bottom right of the desktop (system tray) is an inch from the top of the display and an inch from the LEFT edge of the display, so that i can barely see any of the actual desktop. I can drag the desktop back to its pseudo normal position via the touchscreen, but i have to drag it in the opposite direction than you would think. i.e. to get it back down to the right, i have to drag up to the left....so, it's just very weird. At boot up - it will always be fine, this is just after coming out of hibernation.

Add to this that I can hear USB connnects / disconnects a ton (the windows system noise) at other times (i.e. not necessarily when the screen is screwed up). Sometimes the display goes black, and then comes back during these noises. The connects/disconnects could happen 15 times a minute, with the occasional black out.

I can't figure out which USB device(s) are responsible for the connects/disconnects...you're all saying, 'it's got to be the screen' but i'm still skeptical..perhaps it's something else on the USB bus causing issues? I've tried unplugging other stuff but don't have authoritative results. Perhaps it's the drivers? i've tried a bunch, without change. Is there a way to log USB connection / disconnection events in the event log or some other way? Maybe it's power?

Anyway - slightly frustrated, sorry I don't have more concrete data at this time, but any advice is appreciated.

    TIA,
    Per

How are you powering your screen?
Is it programed to power on when it 'sees' a VGA signal?
Is the touchscreen plugged into a hub or directly into the PC?
If your using a hub, how are you powering it and what devices are connected?

sorry i fell off the map there, thanks for the response...

Powering via the carnetix 2140 secondary output
Yes, it's set to power on, and it does just that.
    It plugs into hub.
Hub is powered via carnetix P5V.

I unpugged all other USB devices from the hub and kept the touch screen plugged in. Result - - USB disconnect/reconnect noises continued with the occasional screen black and then back on.

I then unplugged the touch screen from the USB hub, but kept it powered on. Result - - USB disconnect / reconnect noises STOPPED and the screen did not black out.

That says to me, it's something with the touchscreen USB. Now - - is it drivers? the USB controller? the touch screen (physical) itself? Dunno. How do I find out?

I've been using the latest drivers available from the sticki'ed site, btw.

    Thanks,
    Per

i have the same problem with my 2008 629 lilli.. in warmer weather the screen will shift about an inch to the right.. only way to cure it is a power off. Sure wish i knew how to solve it.
