    Is it worth going transflective? is the 629gl alright by itself?

    Hey everyone,

    Im in the middle of my carputer project and need some help with the screen.

    Now being in australia its not easy to get access to transflective (for a decent price with the exchange rate as it is.)

    So my question is...

    Should i spend the extra $400-500 on a transflective model? or is the new 2008 model pretty good with the LED backlight?

    Is there any other lcd i should look at?

    Thanks a lot for the help guys, i havnt been able to find to much on lcd's.

    Only you can say whether a transflective upgraded screen is worth the additional expense to you.
    There is a thread with comparison pics of a transflective screen vs a non-transflective screen. Look at that and make your decision. Talk to those who have purchased a transflective screen and ask some questions that are important to you. Gather the information you need to make an informed decision.
