bump and grind.
i'm looking for, basically a 1020TSV with 3m's cleartek II cap touchscreen capabilities. now, warrantees are no issue, i'll be immediately taking the lcd out of the shell, so if i need to add the cleartek after, that's fine. the only requirement is that i want a 16:9 10" cap touchscreen. the screen needs also to fit snugly with the cleartek after. i'll be designing a custom frame for it, so that's why the cleartek needs to fit. so, does anyone know what dimensions the cleartek's come in?
Cleartek II touchscreens?
this post is kinda what i want, but in a 16:9 ratio. (btw, what'd motorcity get banned for? TOS VIOLATION WHOOP WHOOP WHOOP!! bust out the banhammer...jk )
what do i need for a VGA input LCD controller kit with OSD board, backlight inverter, etc? doesn't that come with the lcd itself?
bump and grind.
I've been looking into this myself lately, but I haven't found any mass-produced capacitive touchscreens under 15". If you use the "Find a Touch Screen" tool to the right on the 3M site you can get dimensions and model numbers.
If you're making your own frame, why not pick up the LCD you want and the overlay separate and put the two together? I'm about to do the same but going to see if I can get it to fit in my Xenarc frame.
Infiniti QX4 2002 project (done!... for now)
i'd get the two, but i'm not into experimenting with my money. i'm into solid returns for it. that's why bernie madoff has control of my money.
if you get the two screens, let me know how it works. i too have a xenarc 7" widescreen out of the frame. but i'm not about to spend $150 on the capacitive ts for an "if". let me know how it works.
