If it hasnt shipped yet, I would contact the seller before it does. I dont see anywhere about optically bonding the touchscreen to the lcd panel itself.

Those 3M films are off the shelf films that can be had for $20 USD. I applied them to my EBY701 myself as did many others. There is an improvement over the regular stock monitor, but it is not a real transflective. A real transflective bonds the 2 surfaces together (touchscreen glass panel and lcd glass panel) perfectly. No air/gaps between surfaces, no glare can form in that layer. There is more done to real transflectives too but that is the big one. These 3M films are just put behind the lcd glass panel (but still inside the overall lcd frame, not screen casing, but lcd frame) right before the mirrored finish basically. They arent bonded, they are loose and polarize light, but still have gaps. It will glare but only in more direct sunlight.

So for that kind of money, I would expect more results. I would not get your hopes up on the screen, it is not a true transflective like you see in the mp3car store.

Motorcity sells better transflectives, but again are still not the same quality as the mp3car ones. You do get what you pay for... Good Luck

I believe the standard lilliputs may already have the 3M DBEF and BEF films installed. I took my EBY701 apart thinking I would install some spare 3M films, but the films already inside looked exactly like the 3M stuff.

I would ask the seller to confirm what he means by "transreflective BEFII and ESR." Adding the 3M Vikuiti films does not make the monitor a true transreflective....you need to optically bond the touchscreen and LCD. I've installed ESR in my EBY701 and it does help with the brightness and sunlight visibility, but I would not consider it a true transreflective. It's visible 95% of the time...but when there is direct, bright sun hitting the screen at a certain angle, then you still cannot see anything.

If the seller is selling the EBY701 with just ESR added and no optical bonding, then IMO, I think that is a ripoff.

they do come with films that have the same purpose as the 3M films we (and this seller) are using, the oem ones arent polarized the same way and are not of the same quality. just as an fyi.

    sorry forgot to update this,

It was pretty crap, was better than a normal lcd, but not good enough so i sent it back and got a refund.

Saving to get a real transflective. Probably going with the cartft one

I again would recommend the mp3car one. It is the only one made that is optically bonded. They go through a lot of trouble to do it, and the results show.

You are just trading 1 sub-par monitor for another little-better-than-sub-par monitor.

I think my suggestion would weigh a little heavier since I was correct about the last screen...
