    how to open rearview mirror

Not sure if this is the correct forum and I did search to no avail.

Anyone know how to open up rearview mirrors?

I was thinking of getting one of the Lexus units with the built in compass then opening it up to add either a small LCD screen for my backup camera and possible a V1 integration also. The problem is, just don't know how to open it up without damaging it? Thanks.

Why not buy a mirror on Ebay? There are ALL kinds with small monitors/compasses built in...

True. Well I like the OEM look of the Toyota/Lexus mirrors plus I want to add a radar detector plus a small LCD screen.

If there aren't any screws, then I'd guess it's just a snap-together fit...
