Fold Down style In-Dash Touchscreen

Has anyone ever seen an in-dash 7" touchscreen that folds down when it comes out instead of up? For it to fit properly in my car, it would have to fold down as the dash indents way out right above the hole for the stereo...

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

i have never seen one that folds down. the best thing that i could think of is the xenarc 700idt (owned one myself). since it uses a mechanical apparatus to slide the monitor out, it would not be to terribly difficult to mod the monitor mounts to the top and make it flip down. it would take some work but really it should be pretty straight forward

I have seen a flip down before, definetly not a common but they exist. Let me do some poking around and see if I can find some links for you.

I've been looking a bit for those types of screens, but with no success. The only flip downs I can find aren't in-dash. I'll keep looking.

Could you install a flip up one upside down then use the settings for the video card to flip the image?

That is a very intersting idea. I don't have one to test with but I dont see why not. Of course controls for audio, etc would be backwards which would be strange but it may be a possibility. I dont really want to go drop the cash on one though to test with without seeing if it works properly first...

that theoretically would work. i know XP can flip its signal that is put out to the monitor. you would have to check that the screen's touch capabilities could be inverted as well.
