the digitalww screen is a widescreen 7in, download powerstrip, and see if 720x480 or 800x480 looks better.

how so? What video card are you using? YOu want to setup a custom resolution, and apply that.

Some drivers/cards don't support those types of resolutions though.

go to the TVtool website. It has complete instructions on how to get those resolutions on an nVidia card.

Mp3goose, armen or anyone else who has this monitor,
Does the 7" lcd from digitalww need to be hooked up through the computers regulated powersupply, or can it go straight to the battery?

    Thanks

yea use TVTool with an nvidia based card, it allows you to do the same thing as powerstrip, but is integrated in the nvidia software.

murph- I would think since it's designed for in-car use it could be powered from the battery, does it have any documentation that details it's voltage range (for ex, 9 - 14v)

    Exception GF4-MX:

Usually the TV-chip is a single independent chip on the graphics card from a third party manufacturer like Conexant. These are supported by the tool. But with the GF4-MX nVidia introduces an own TV-chip NV17 which is integrated in the VGA chip and which is probably cheaper and less powerful than the external chips. For this chip there is no documentation available at all because nVidia refuses it. Without documentation a support cannot be integrated in TVTool!

    Damn Nvidia
