I have what is probably a dumb question but here goes,till now i have always had computer remote from monitor but am thinking of making a d/din self contained unit similar to this, question is how do you get video lead, with a large vga type plug from the back to monitor in front,with very little space between back of the unit and the firewall
Other people trim away part of the connector (very carefully) and bend the wires up. I do like the angle adapter though. You'll still need to deal with audio, usb, and other accessories behind the board too. In most cars, there is enough clearance if you push the board as close to the monitor as you can.
