search, it's a common problem, it has been discussed a couple hundred times.
This is unfortunately a thing that happens sometimes...
The pc turns on, and I flip out the screen, and all that happens is a white screen! I can't switch it to Av/Av2 or anything, it does not respond.
The screen reacts to touch as normal, but I can't see anything...
Anyone who has an idea of what is wrong?
Btw, it's a cheap ebay screen. (I know... never buy them, and I will never do it again)
It's the P0701A...

Lilliput died; white screen?
lilliput whitescreen [help!]
I understand your point.
But the problem is that none of them replys to my specific problem. I should have been more specific, sorry.
When I crank the engine, the pc turns on.
I open out the screen, and it's white.
It then turns black, then white, black again, then white, black the 3rd time, then white...
It seems like the pc is trying to force it to get signal, and then it just gives up.

I got a little closer to the problem... Kinda...
I was thinking it might be the carpc or something, so I took one of my laptops to the car and plugged it in...
Turn the ignition, and the screen is ready; I can see both video channels, and tv, and the vga says it has no signal. Then I turn on the video out on my laptop, and the screen goes white! I can't switch to video or anything else, it freezes in white!

could it be too high of a resolution? try changing it to 800x600 or so
I had the same thought... Just tried it with a laptop, and no matter what resolution, it went white... When I changed resolution, the screen went black for a couple of seconds, and the white again... I even went down to 640X480, same result...![]()
