--- "I just need to change the scan frequency and adjust the front and back porch on the vertical scan." So I fiddled with the numbers until it worked perfectly...
What tool you were using to see if the setting is right? Powerstrip or just re-install the driver on each retry?

I think it is to modify the windows registry. If so, both DTD caculator and make a .reg file will work too, right?

After many retries, I got it finally
The dirver is just yours at first post, the point is I must delete the device before install the driver for it, or the LCD just keep black or said "NOT SUPPORT". Once the driver install sucessfully, the display was 800x480 but not point to point with the LCD. I use the LCD auto adjust function to make it point to point.
Now the display was perfect, but has a problem. When I unplug and reconnect the VGA harness, the display will be incorrect. Need reboot windows to solve it. Forunately, there will be a little chance to unplug the VGA during windows running.
Any idea if this would work with a 629 (non-LCD version)? Or is there any harm in trying? Or if all you did was change the DTD, should I just try that DTD instead of the one I am currently using?
Hiya,
No, there's really no harm in trying. It'll either work, or it won't. Just make sure you have a way to get back into the PC to roll back the driver, such as via VNC or Remote Desktop.

Yes, if the setting are incorrect, the sreen will be blank. you can enter the VGA or safe mode to restore the driver back.
Wow, thanks a lot for doing this!! I've been waiting probably 3 years for someone to come out with drivers that allowed native 800x480 on our stupid 7-8" 800x480 screens for use on the embedded chips. My workaround has been installing a PCI video card that would support 800x480 with powerstrip hacking, but this necessitated a large case (shuttle small form factor) to get the 2 PCI slots I needed. A while ago, someone posted similar drivers, but they blue screened Windows when you tried to use hibernate - useless.
Can anyone else confirm the drivers worked in their configuration?

Hey Smelly,
I suggest you try them -- but even if they don't work, you can take the steps I took to make your own Intel drivers.
