Thread: Making the RGB signal stronger?

Managed to get my Interact screen working, this time with a Matrox G200 Millenium Card. I get a not-so-bright but readable screen, only black and white. I've tried connecting the sync to r,g, and b channels, and i get the same result. Anyone got a clue on what could be the problem ? Thanks in advance.

This is the exact problem I had, and I tried.. oh god did I try to get it to work.. and it didn't. =| I ended up giving up on vga, and went the ntsc route.

Paul, thx.. it was really easy to do.

At first it made it a little difficult to drive, as I was a heavy user of the rear-view.. but ive adjusted to using my side mirrors nicely.. I intend on sticking a large alpha-numeric lcd in the dash, so i can still change music and stuff without having the screen flipped down. The antena is for my remote starter

If you meant its hard to drive with it down because of having the picture right in my face.. it isnt, when im looking forward, i cannot see the screen at all.. doesnt draw my attention one bit. If i lean back in my seat, though.. I have a perfectly clear view.. very safe! very practical!

could someone post some more details on wiring and connections and some more detailed images on this mod? Its really hard to look at a drawing and try to figure out how to properly wire it via a picture. It would seem more helpful toeveryone is sumone stepped up with some more detailed pics and a step by step guide

I've been beating myself senseless for days trying to understand this mod properly, but its so hard to do without some detailed images of the wiring and connections.

It seems like I'm not the only one who cant seem to get this mod done correctly and maybe if we didnt have to guess about pins and proper connections it would really be a whole lot easier. For one thing is the psone lcd pinouts the same as the thrustmaster one? from mpros pics on his site it seems as though he's upgraded his lcd to a sony psone lcd. Mpro does that lcd still follow the same pins as ur scematic pic? or is it different...starfox said that the 5 and 6 pins on the psone are actually reversed from online resorces of the psone pinouts. It's really hard to do this mod while having to compare the 2 different psone lcd mods on this forum. It's also hard to to decide which one to follow as well and which one has the proper pinouts on the psone, and exacttly which one overs the better image quality???

Hi. After doing a little research, i've found that the Interact LCD is actually, a TFD50W-32B Toshiba. I've not been able to get the datasheet from toshiba, but i've found a page with some diags from the TFD50W-32B2 screen, which seems similar... it's located at
http://www.hct.zaq.ne.jp/kyotani/pachilcd/boukenoh1.htm . Ok, it's in japanese, but it could be helpfull to someone in here.

I just can't figure out where is the following on the lcd... anyone can help ?



It's not on the board directly in the back of the lcd... maybe i gotta completely dismount the lcd to get access to those components ?
