Well I recently got a Psone LCD that only works on RGB sadly :/
Well I recently got a Psone LCD that only works on RGB sadly :/
Now I have got this to work with my VGA output but the signal is a little weak and the colors look washed out as I have to put up the brightness a lot to see the image
Now I managed to get it looking a little better by connecting the sync to the RED input buy resisting the current so it’s not to bright. “see pic”
before sync mod
After
But this is just a quick fix and I would like to boost the RGB signal so it looks better.
Dose anyone know how to do this?
Oww and hi by the way![]()

you just made it known that the screens can be hacked to vga input using the rgb, always could have been possible, but I don't think I've heard of anyone trying yet.Originally posted by M pro

btw, a lot of monitors use sync on green, don't know enough about it to know if that'll help or not

Did you make solder connections? Can you take a pic of where the VGA signal is inputted in to the LCD?
It wasn’t that hard really
I took the RGB from pins 1,2,3 on the VGA card and connected them to RGB pins 9,11,12 on the LCD
Then I took the H sync and V sync pins 13,14 on VGA and joined them together and then connected them to pic 6 on the LCD
Obviously I connected ground to pin one
And last but not lest I connected a resister to the red input then I connected the V and H sync to the resister.
Set the card to run at 15ohm and that was it
here it is in windows
but i really need to know how to boost the RBG signal
why don't you just adjust the gamma ?
And it looks good from here
