Lilliput EBY-707 response to light touch?

I have a new EBY-707 screen, using it on a MacBook Pro, 10.5.7, 1.15.7029 driver.

If I use the supplied stylus, the screen seems to respond correctly. If instead I use my finger, I get a very jittery response unless I press fairly hard on the screen. Is this expected behavior, or does my screen have an issue?

The only other touch screen I have any experience with is my iPhone, which does just fine with a very light touch, so maybe I'm expecting too much here. Is there a way to decrease the screen's sensitivity (or would it be increase?) so that a finger press would register better as opposed to the stylus?

Mine responds to light taps of the back side of my nail or slightly firmer taps of my fingerprint side.

But our definition of light could be different.
