    direct wiring?

so i was getting my new setup completed, and had my friend wire the monitor for power. he wired it backwards, and the noise filter(im assuming thats what it is?) fried beccause he wired it backwards.
do i really need that filter?

ive got the Lilliput EBY701, so it uses leds and not ccfls.
will running it directly on 12v hurt it?

No, running it directly on 12v will not hurt it.

Running it directly from your car will. The voltage in a car goes from say 8v to 15v at any given time. That's why your lights dim when you crank the stereo, that's why your radio shuts off when you start the car.

Yes. That's what I'll be doing. Make sure you configure the Auto-on feature though.
