I've searched all over the forums for this, and I am still unclear:


Have the inexpensive Xenarc 705s been properly updated so that they actually display data at the native resolution, assuming the video chipset is capable of outputting a signal in 800x480?

I read several threads mentioning that people were having trouble getting them to properly display 800x480 even when the graphics hardware was properly set for that resolution. At the end of two of them someone stated that the Xenarc engineers had solved the problem and were releasing updated models, but no one seems to mention anything about it after that. The last posts from these threads were back in late 07.

So, what I'm looking for is some input from people who already own them, as I'm about to place an order with this site for one as long as the resolution problem is cleared up. Anybody currently own these have any trouble with the native resolution?
