Xenarc display improved
Hi guys,
A week ago I received the Xenarc display 700ts.
Everbody here knows the vga connector really really sucks.
I opened the same day the display and saw there were 3 pins broken. (the one on the little green printed circuit-board)
There are 15 cables soldered.
From here there are 13 going to other pins and 2 for ground.
I made a new cable and soldered on the printed-circuit,I saw that the display only needs 7 cables.
When I was finished I put the new VGA plug in my Via motherboard and started the pc.
The srcreen detect the signal and goes on,but after 10 seconds it shuts down.
I noticed if I start the BIOS,the screen works perfect, but when I start Windows it shuts down.
Before I made the conversion of cables,I mean with the original plug I didn't had this problem.
Is there someone out there he did also this conversion,I would like to ask some things
thanxxx

So if you boot to dos, then it works?
Will it work if you boot to windows Safe Mode?
It sounds like either you wired some pins up wrong so it can't handle the vga or whatever output from the computer...or it can't handle the sync rate from the computer...it is possible the display size might also be the problem.
So boot to Dos.
Boot to windows safe mode.
Recheck wiring.
Repeat.

but the funny thins is,before I made the conversion it worked fine (untill the cable broke)
And really,you can't made mistakes,it isn't that difficult.
The only strange things is that the display only needs 7 wires.
Normally you need at least 8 or 9 wires
