    lilliput loses signal after time

So I typically never notice this, but on trips of over an hour (I don't notice because my trips are less than an hour usually) the lilliput (629) will lose the pc signal. I can turn it on and off (with remote) and still doesn't have signal. It happened last night and I turned the car off and left it over night and back back this morning and everything worked fine, after changing nothing.

Could it be a heat issue? I don't see how it could be... because it doesn't get that hot...

    Ideas?

If the screen goes blank or goes into standby, it could be that windows power management is set to turn off the monitor after some time of inactivity, which makes the graphics card stop its output. If this was the problem though, simply moving the mouse would bring it back, so this probably isn't the problem but I would check power management settings anyway, maybe the profile was changed etc.

thank but i would hope that if someone took the trouble to post about it that they would have the common sense to see if the power settings were turning off the monitor lol.

    anyone else?

The older types of Lilliput 619/629 had some problems in the mainboard, that makes the picture disappear after using for a while. For the old types it WAS a heat problem, even though it doesn't seemed very warm.
What solved the problem was changing the mainboard. I'm pretty sure this could be your problem.
    How old are the screens?

i have also heard of this problem a while ago. try adding a fan in the back cover of the monitor (u have to remove the speaker for that and make a hole for the fan).
but this should solve your problem.
dont forget to double check your power settings in the OS that you are using... and just in case make sure you have no screensaver set...
either way cooling the older lillies never hurts... actually it should extend it's life

no it shouldnt, triple check your system settings.
if everything is good there try to input a different video device, like a camera or a dvd player or just about anything else and see if it still looses signal after an hour. if it does you might need to use you warranty. if it works fine then it sounds like an issue with the PC itself.
