wow, very nice. lets see brightness shots and sunlight
I would lean towards the second post, although the specs listed are way off from the image displayed: it states the monitor is 4:3 resolution...which you can clearly see it is widescreen, especially if it has HDMI
if only n2k would come back to life and let us know...instead of us guessing

Finally I'm alive again! I was hit with something called bedtime over here in Sweden
I'll try to answer your questions, but I'm currently in a dialog with the OEM manufacture in china(it's not lilleput) that made this product sample for me, currently I can't use the usb touch interface with out the breakout and vga cable and the screen wasn't suppose to be full hd (not that I'm complaining) but I want to know it this is by mistake or if the final product will actually support it.
I'll try to get you guys some sunlight and brightness shots. the screen has 5 difference predefined brightness levels. it was on the lowest level when I took the photos.
according to the spec the screen should have a contrast of 500:1 and LCD brightness 300cd/m2.
they have openframe lcd's with size of 7", 8", 10.4", 12.1" but I have no idea if the have the same high resolution.

again, where did you purchase the unit? ec21.com seems to be a reseller. Or am i incorrect?

Sorry, but unfortunately I can't disclose the manufacture at this time. but it's not lilleput and it wasn't from ec21.com.
As soon as I get information on how they want me to distribute there information I'll gladly do it. but the mail conversation with them is somewhat slow since we are awake and working in different timezones.

Just remember because it can do 1920x1080 doesn't mean it is a full hd lcd. Heck all the Liliputs will do that resolution. It's the panels native resolution that determines what resolution lcd it actually is.

@hailrazer, how can I tell if it's the panels native resolution ?
Well usually you have to depend on the manufacturer to tell you. But it's pretty easy to tell on an Lcd. It's the resolution that small text looks the sharpest. So just switch between resolutions and when you find the one where small text is perfectly sharp and clear than that is the native resolution.

the problem with that is the text is so freaking small at 1920x1080 that I can't really tell if it's bad in that way.
It's really nice at 1280x720 and according to windows 7 that is the recommended resolution for the screen.
FYI lilliput will soon be releasing dvi and hdmi versions of their 7" screens... and the pictures i've seen of them look EXACTLY the same as the model shown above lol
