It's been around awhile and I know some people that have used it in pc setups.

But in a car you would still need a touchscreen. And when you add that caost and the fact that you then have to take the monitor out of it's case and fab a new one that will also hold the touchscreen , it makes more sense to but a Liliput.

not necesarily [sp] - if you have a decent software with enough shortcuts u never need to touch the application, just get a decent "remote" - i have ten shortcut buttons on a gamepad for my app, and works a treat, i am now considering adding a screen, even though i dont have one ATM...

i am looking at this, - the supplier isnt too far away twenty 8 quid, refurbed though, but if my lappy can output to my lcd tv rca phono socket ok when i get my cable in the next cpl days i will buy this,,, simple enough to get some power cables etc - heck im sure the laptop DC - DC converters on ebay for about 3 quid will do the trick for the power, so im reconing for like 32 quid [about 40usd] u can have a non touch screen, and even then touch overlays r only about 20 quid.

im just playing with my setup now though... and am considering a couple of these... for rear screens possibly.. it all depends though... HOWEVER IF******** my lappy fails to work on my lcd tele wit the cable im buying i will scrap the idea and go for a lilli or simular later [ too rich for my pocket at the moment since im saving for a nice car also :P ]

might be useful for some things. i want to put an ITX motherboard inside a milwaukee jobsite radio myself. touchscreen would be nice, but its a jobsite radio. i think a cheap screen will be better then needed...

im not saying dont go touch... just its not entirely needed.

would be nice if its in budget...

most ppl here r willing to spend the extra . too right its what u see day in day out. lets get a good one...

but depending on the machine [and car] its not always wise... i would rather have a 30 quid screeen robbed then a 200 quid screen etc---- but that said would rather neither be robbed lol.

i wouldnt put a lilli in the car i have... but when i can finally afford my new one... maybe...

Would like to see this kind of screens already build inside a headrest.

I do already have two RCA headrest monitors but image is not that good.
Now for sure that by using a VGA screen the image will improve a lot.
    Gods right foot!!
