Here are some pics of my Lilliput EBY-701 Transflective optically bonded display recently purchased from mo-co-so.
Firstly, I'd like to say how happy I am with the service provded by Chris at mocoso. I also ordered a Griffin Powermate which had been out of stock for some time, but Chris kept me up to date untill they became available, and took the time to answer many questions relating to my PC build. Chris definately provides a service above and beyond the typical internet retailer IMO.
The pics show the disassembled screen, with the boards held together with double sided foam tape. This holds very securely and provides a level of vibration damping also.
I removed the outer portion of the plug, opened the cable clamp and bent it to keep the assembly as compact as possible. I also used the double sided tape to secure it to the screen to help reduce strain on the plug connection.
The outdoors pics were taken in very bright sunlight (its Australia and we have plenty of sunlight ) For comparison is my VAIO AW27 that has a RGB LED backlight 18.4" 1920x1080 screen which is arguably one of the best available in a notebook at the moment. As can be seen, both screens performed extremely well in these conditions. I guess I was more surprised with the performance of my VAIO, as I was expecting the good results I got from the mocoso transflective
EDIT: I should also add that I successfully entered the hidden menu:
and activated the auto power on function. Works perfectly
