yeah, awhile back I called them and they said they are no longer carrying them. They said they discontinued them. so you have to find someone that has a left over.

I would choose Crystal, scratch resistant, Multi-Touch has a high resolution of 4096 x 4096, a fast sampling rate of 100 Hz, (10 ms per scan), auto calibration and is not restricted to just touch; panels will also work with a tethered stylus.

^actually i am going to disagree: in the third pic, there is a shadow at the top, indicating that it is in a higher sunlight area-- the image is still relatively clear, readable, and doesn't appear to be reflecting anything, though that could be a trick of the camera lens.

my stock 619 has none of this, and is almost a mirror with any amount of sunlight..

for outofstock of 3M screens, can you give me part # of the screen I can check with my chinise supplier maybe they have something in stock there. I can irder few for people who need them.

That is the capacitive touch screen shown in the pictures.

I took those pictures right after I did the conversion. And, there was plenty of direct light on the monitor during the shoot.

Keep in mind that I am far from a pro photographer, and the camera I use is and older Minolta set to "auto".

Correct. I positioned the monitor to try and show that there was a good amount of sun on the monitor when I took the pictures. I thought the shadow would make it easy for viewers to see that. But, I guess it needs pointing out.

Did any of you guys try unytouch or ocular for the project capacitive displays? I'm on the same boat as you guys and was looking for one the overlay kits ...

If there are enough interest can't we get a group order going? Or is 20-30 still too little

I talked to Ocular about a year ago because they're here in the area. Only interested in large quantity orders. They don't actually have anything to sell until you order it (in thousands of units). I'll follow-up and see if anything has changed.

since im building unit for police cars now, i waiting for xenarc to come out with the bright 1000 nit 10.2" 1026tsa touch monitor. same one they currently carry, but with the brighter screen, so the officer can see the monitor during the day.
