    thanks guys.
I'll be taking pictures soon, if you take a look at some of my previous posts in other threads you will learn that me and Murphy do not get along, so going with that, my camera stopped powering on two days before my install. SO with a mix of me never buying anything without extensive research and not wanting to drag out my install; unfortunately all my pictures will be after the fact, but I will get them as soon as the new one comes in. That should mean by Tuesday. I ordered it on Amazon Prime's free (if you forget the yearly fee) two day shipping, and I work mids through the weekend. I will get what I can up as soon as I can, cell phone pic would be a waste of time/effort.

I was thinking of using this as my first attempt at ABS sludge. A little filler, a little sanding, a little black paint on the front should cover up the hole and minor mistakes I made while dremeling and my son decided to sneak up and lean on me to see exactly what I was doing.

Yeah you could very much do that, in fact there's another thread like this one where someone was actually talking about doing that very thing.

fyi... 3M released an updated driver via Windows Update. No release notes however, and it hasn't shown up on their support site yet.

i searched 3m's site and couldn't find it, but i figured i'd ask anyhow. Do they make a 10.4" version for the larger monitors, or even a 6.5" for smaller?

How about letting us know how the install went in the double din setup, as that's how my setup will be. did you cut the top and bottom off the DDIN kit? and how did you fill the ir sensor hole, or did you? how was the width relative to the kit? pictures would be nice.

It's not just the top and bottom that need to be cut.
The non-IR hole side of the frame causes a problem as well.
The touch screen's sensor grid will appear when you look at the front of the display. The screw hole pads inside the frame prevent the touch panel from fitting all the way to the edge.

Honestly, the 3M touch screen is not really a good panel to use in the DIN frame.
The H bracket would not be held in place securely with only 2 screws on one side.
    See pics for details.

New Camera came in while I was at work last night. I work again tonight but I'll take some pics tommorow to clear up some of the questions/issues people are having. I agree with tft that the double din frame isn't a perfect solution when mixed with the 3m touchscreen, but 10 minutes with a dremel made it viable.
