Variable Bitrate
Are you perhaps overloading the inverter?

Constant Bitrate
No fuse inside the inverter?
Or any visibly defective components inside? Most power electronics tends to die with visible damage

How would I know I am overloading the inverter when I cant find any spec on the inverters I have.
first inverter is a Datalux CCFL control board part number 8021-03
second inverter is a GCMK-G3X part number is RD-P-0429
Edit: no fuse at all, no visible damage, or burnt smell either.
One way to know I killed these things is, I would try to test the output voltage when they were working fin, but my multi-meter would not handle the load, no all of a sudden im getting a measuerment, wich does not sound right seing how these lil fellas can output voltages upward the 800vAC
