need some help connecting screens

I have an Aopen mini PC that i plan to use in my truck. the PC has s-video and DVI and i am not sure how to go about connecting my monitors to it. i want to try one of the Avioncislcd 10
screens up front, it has s-video, HDMI, Composite and VGA inputs. then i have two headrest screens by Concept that only have the yellow video input wire.
Should i get an external video card? if so can someone direct me in the right direction? im not really sure what to do with this one. thanks

You can convert s-video to composite and DVI to HDMI. What's the issue?

i am unsure as to how i will control three screens. can i convert the DVI to HDMI for the main screen since its 1080i and convert the S-video to composite for the rear screens? would that work or do they all have to come from the same output.

so can anyone here shed light on wether or not i can use both the S-video and the DVI at the same time, one to controll the front screen and the other to control my headrest monitors?

Your question is hardware specific and you don't provide enough details of your hardware for people to answer accurately. Generally speaking multiple video outputs can be used at the same time. The only way for you to know for sure is to hook it up and try it out.

what do you need to know to help?

its an Aopen MP965-D and i want to use the 10.4" Lcd from Avionicslcd.com which has HDMI, Compsite, s-Video and VGA. I want to convert the DVI to HDMI for this screen and then use the Svideo from the Aopen and convert that to RCA so i can get video to my rear screens. i hope that helps. i dont want to spend a bunch of money on connectors if they are not gonna work.

I am not an expert on your hardware but I was trying to narrow down your question so you could better understand what you are really asking. The issue is not about the monitors, it is about the video chipset and drivers on your motherboard. Can the intel GM965 output both dvi and s-video at the same time? The best advice I can offer is to connect the dvi port to a monitor and connect the svideo to a tv and see if you get video out of both of them at the same time, if you have a monitor and a tv this won't cost you anything.

BTW, the mini-DIN port on the back of the MP965-D is not an s-video port. There should be a breakout cable that plugs into it which provides s-video, composite, and component connections.

Not sure what all the fuss was about in the other thread...the question seems pretty clear. Only thing I didn't see was how do you want the video divided?

Do you want the same output split between the two back screens? In that case you can use the DVI for the front screen and svideo out to the rear screens using an S-Video to composite adapter as linked to above.

If you want separate output on all three screens then you will need to go with the options I mentioned above and an external video card with composite out.
