My opinion: wich may not reflect the majority here.

    Too big, too expensive.

welll upon initial inspection the only thing that'd worry me is the lack of a brightness rating.

    brightness....

Has anyone here ever tried to add another backlight cathode to their setup. Or better yet, replaced it with a thomaselectronics backlight panel. I suppose you could turn the dimmest of lcds into a the most beautiful sunlight-readable panel.
    just a thought....

If the screens not made well, adding more backlight will only wash out the picture

Hmmm, good point. But what if you used the lcd panel from a desk projector (like the 3M kind at schools). Those panels were made for bright light to pass through and still maintain quality. Could you then use a backlight and a mirrored back cover? If that worked it would be cool because those panels have great color depth and resolution.

I'm sure with a spare $400, I could find somewhere to mount an arm fixing.

A deal like that would be ideal for the MK2 Build.

Shame I'm only just starting putting together the MK1
    4x4 in a turbo stylee.
