    EBY701 external green wire?

    Hi peoples.

I just got my EBY701 from MP3car Store and I can't seem to find anywhere that tells me what the green wire hanging out of the back of the monitor is. I've tried searching and can't seem to find mention of it anywhere. It does say it's got backup camera wiring... but nothing else. It's an antenna? Auto-switch prewired? Positive? Negative? It's probably horribly obvious and I'm going to feel dumb when I find out, but I'd rather ask before I try.
Also, since I'm making a fool out of myself already, why is there two power plugs? One's beside the D-Sub connecter, and one's in the little AV cable. One says "DC 12V Input jack" and the other one says "Black jack DV12V input power". Do they do the same thing? I guess it'd be easier to run everything from the AV cable...

Next I get to play with the bezel. I'm a little nervous to cut it up. Oh well.

    Thanks in advance,

    Kris

yea my guess is as good as yours on the green wire, the power jacks however do the same thing. Its a preference situation, whatever fits your setup better.

It is the connection for the auto switching feature. Connect it to a 12v trigger. IE the + lead of the reverse brake light bulb.

Thanks very much for the help. I just really didn't want to fry it out of stupidity. Wish me luck with my fabbing. I'm only a little frightened.

    Hi Superduck,

theonlykid's correct. Connect this wire to a 12V positive source to switch to the backup camera input.

Also, either 12V input plug on this monitor can be used to power it, whichever is most convenient for you.
