Ok. I have been reading for so long and need some help. When I buy a monitor does it have to have the little pins in the back to connect to the computer. Also do they make extenders or something? I guess my real question is what kind of connector has to be on the back of the lcd screen.
The back of any lcd might have two connectors, one that connects to the LCD controller to vga cable, and one for the inverter. But if you arent shure what IM talking about, you might want into purchasing a LCD that is already made for a carputer aplication.
But everyone will say "make shure its vga and you'll be good to"

VGA connectors are good that stands for Video Graphics Adaptor Several screens are available as 12 Volt VGA for the car. you should have run across XENARC in your reading they have a model like this.
Several VGA cable extenders are available as well.
