are you talking about the vent ductwork or the actual ac?
if its then vent ductwork then yeh get a servo motor and just hook the damn thing up to it you dont need to go over bord you can set the mortor to open 35 degree turn 90 or what ever i thoght hte part he was talking about was the actual ac control NOT JUST the duct work its apperant you just want to argue i was OVOUSLY talking about the compresor and fan runing off elec. so **** off

You mentioned that actuators are not needed.... and they are in the context of this discussion. I have no idea why you would want to automate the turning on/off of the AC compressor as it would be entirely pointless as the car usually manages this. This thread is about automating the AC controls, meaning the entire HVAC control assembly.

Being verbally violent is not called for, and you should refrain from it in the future. Also perhaps you should invest in a spell checker, it would make your posts much easier to read and more comprehensible, as well as increasing your credibility as an information source.

Not bad... 3 posts on the forums and already hes telling people off

oh...and since when does a car's a/c compressor run off of elec? *pauses and waits for "i didn't know we were talking about cars"*

    Back on topic:
An '04 scion tc (according to ebay) is 100% electronic, so it should just be a matter of tapping the harness and using the existing motors and sensors.

Well it wasn't so *obvious* to me or the other participants in this thread. Apparently our understanding of what all an HVAC system entails differs.

On a side note, watch the language.
