    HELP with M1023!

I have my m1023 hooked up to an LQ9D03B. It used to work fine. I have had it stored safely in a box for a couple of months. When I hooked it up the other day i had some problems. I can see the picture on the display but it flickers. REALLY BAD. not an on and off kind of flicker. more like everything going everywhere kind of flicker. I made 2 new vga connectors that go from the VGA out from my computer to the controller. Neither works. I have tried every screen resolution and refresh rate on my computer and it doesnt fix it. I have also played with the HSYnc on the controller and it doesnt work. Can anyone help?! This is driving me crazy!

Sounds to me like it's the lead connecting your controller to your lcd...

First, check that your running 640x480 @ 60hz....
Then check all your leads. I had a similar sounding problem when I made my hirose lead too long (3 foot), and it lead to timing problems lke you are describing.

would it be possible that the length of my VGA cable is too long and causing timing problems. My VGA cable is like 6ft long. But its just an extension cable. it doesnt have that cylindrical thing on the end of it. Thats what I was thinking it might be

I don`t think 6ft VGA cable would cause problems.... I've used longer with no problems.
