    EBY-701 2009 Model what settings for 800x480?

I have a 2009 model Lilliput EBY-701, this one specifically:

    http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...m=190336087290

I have searched and searched but I cannot find out anyone who has gotten 800x480 to work with the Nvidia ION chipset.

Does anyone have some Powerstrip settings they can post? Thanks.

Also, please don't just tell me to run in 800x600; I am and I would prefer a proper widescreen resolution.

I haven't gotten it to work on my 629, either.

No one has any clue? Common monitor, fairly common chipset, and no one can help me?

I don't think it's a matter of wanting to help you, it's just that getting that magical 800x480 resolution to work properly takes some "magic" if you will.

I have the 2008 Lilliput 629, using an onboard ATI X700 graphics chipset, and I couldn't get 800x480 to work at all, even with powerstrip (powerstrip actually won't even let me adjust timings with that chipset, so I'm pretty much stuck with no options).

There are a few threads you can search around where people have posted timings to try and get it to work. Most of them are with Intel video drivers though. I think you probably won't get many responses due to most people not using the ION chipset (yet).

Best recommendation I can give you is to just try and play with the settings in powerstrip if the ION won't do 800x480 natively.

That gpu can definitely do 800x480 (works fine on other non-ion platforms). It may need the unlocked drivers though.

My 2009 EBY701 (purchased from Mobile Computing Solutions just arrived yesterday) does not display 800x480 correctly when tested on two different graphic cards. There are visible horizontal scaling artifacts.

You may find that your monitor displays best on (gasp) 800x600.

    EDIT:

I finally got the darn thing to display 800x480 @ 55Hz (using a modified driver, this is an Intel 945 board by the way). The monitor is capable of displaying native 800x480, but apparently is very picky on timing.

Not sure if this applies to to the Lilliputs as I have a Xenarc and Zotac MB with 7100 gpu. This gpu is also supposed to be able to set the magical 800x480 res, but I cannot. I've ended up using the 1280x720 res (I know it's small, but it's ok for me), but my skin is 800x480 and after RideRunner starts up then everything is ok (even though the monitor's osd is reporting 640x480.

I'm thinking about a Zotac MB but the native resolution is pretty important to me. So I've been doing research and stumbled on this: http://www.viacarpc.de/community/car...?topic_id=4356

    Maybe that helps you guys.
