Acer Aspire One 8.9 LCD panel question

    Hi all,

I am at a point in my planning of my car pc where I have hit a pot hole. I need only a few more parts before I can start moving from the test bench to the car. One of the parts I need is an LCD display. What I do have is an Acer Aspire One 8.9 netbook that died (motherboard). The unit has been torn apart and the LCD panel is in great shape. If it is possible it would be the perfect display to use for my setup.

Here's the million dollar question: Do ANYONE know the pinouts on the ribbon cable on one of these LCD panels? There are 26 small pins and 4 larger one. I am guessing that the 4 larger pins are the USB lines for the microphone and camera. but what about the others?

If anyone has a diagram, print from a service manual, photo of a cave painting...please share.

My progress is very slow, work and money both are holding me back. But I will post more once I get to a point where I can wrap up the bench work. So don't hold your breath on seeing any pictures of my work in the *near* future.

Please help me if you are able to provide me any information.

    Thanks

Hi, I'm in the same situation as you, but I will buy a replacement motherboard. It would be cheaper this way. The atom 1.6 is enough for a car pc and I have all the connections needed. Together with a dcdc usb power supply I think its the best solution
